The AV Field Engineer position is a hands-on field-based position responsible for commissioning systems and training clients on system functionality.   We seek self-motivated and reliable candidates, who can work independently and find solutions to complete the job. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Displays advanced knowledge of AV installation techniquesDisplays working knowledge of basic AV designsDisplays working knowledge of design requirementsPerforms site surveys for AV engineersEnsures complex AV installations are complete and meet AVIXA standardsConfirms drawing redlines are accurate Builds AV Equipment racks alongside stage and config specialistsCommissions complex AV systems post installationProperly balances audio systemsConfigures AV devices in the fieldWorks with programmer for programming changesSets up wireless microphone systemsMakes necessary design changes in the field to ensure fully functioning systemActs as an extension of project engineering in the fieldManage multiple field resources during installation of complex AV systemsGathers and records final system information (IP addresses, settings, etc.)Trains client on use of AV systemProvides level 2 AV helpdesk supportUses advanced troubleshooting tools and techniques to resolve AV systems errors Qualifications and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentCollege education or degree preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Demonstrates proficient use of Microsoft Office applicationsCTS required within 3 months of hire dateCTS-I highly recommendedThree (3) years experience installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning audio-visual equipmentCertifications in industry-relevant technologies such as Crestron, Biamp, and Extron Working Conditions & Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50lbsAbility to climb laddersAbility to travel 75%Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction
