Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure for various projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure that cloud solutions are robust, scalable, and secure. While this is a remote position, the candidate must reside in the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia) area for occasional in-person meetings.
Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions to meet project and client needs. Configure and maintain cloud environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security. Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate deployments and improve infrastructure as code (IaC) practices. Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and security, proactively addressing any issues. Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies. Work with project managers to ensure successful project delivery. Support compliance and security requirements as needed, aligning with federal regulations. Qualifications: Strong understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure CLI. Proficiency with automation tools like PowerShell, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins. Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and disaster recovery planning. Active Secret clearance required. Must reside in the DMV area and be available for occasional on-site meetings. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premise-to-cloud migrations. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
