It is used in numerous areas including toys such as automobiles, home appliances, IT devices, etc. Products that may resonate in everyday life include keys on a keyboard or smartphone, interior compartments, shelves or other items for refrigerators, LEGOs, Automotive interiors (console, arm rest, dashboard items, door trim, switches), exteriors (front and rear lamp housing, spoiler, side mirror housing, bumpers, radiator grill) and engine compartment (engine cover, air intake manifold, cylinder head cover, etc).
We are actively searching for a sales person to join our team based in Troy, Michigan. This is individual contributor roles and the incoming will step into existing accounts to learn the business and then transition to develop new customers for our Petrochemical plastics business (ABS/ASA/Acrylate/SAP/MBR/POE/PO).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage existing accounts (Account Management)
Develop new customers and markets for petrochemical plastics in North America to maximize sales for the team
Frequently visit and communicate with customers to determine needs, generate solutions, and strengthen client relationships
Research and analyze industry information to accurately apply pricing and maximize company sales and profits
Supervise & manage logistics of shipments through SAP system to ensure JIT delivery
Supervise & manage purchase orders, material inventory and sales forecast to achieve set DIO target
Accounts receivable follow-up to reduce aging and follow-up on collecting receivable monies
Conduct market research and provide reports of current market situation
Communicate with HQ to improve and expand business
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES: WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications/What We Need to See
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications/What We'd Like to See
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record as a "Rain Maker" selling in a B2B space. Petrochemical maker, distributor in the Styrenic based plastic space is highly preferred.
The Ideal candidate will have:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Skilled in analyzing and writing reports
Skilled in use of basic office software (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Knowledge of SAP (ERP) system is preferred
Travel up to 50% Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence
