About Client:
The client provides information technology (IT) services, including business outsourcing, infrastructure technology, and application services.
The application service offered by the company includes application development, maintenance, and support.
The markets served by the company are financial services and insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, government, transportation, communications, and consumer and retail industries.


Salary Range: $120K-$125K/Annum

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to validate business logic during the migration of financial securities data from an Oracle database to a Snowflake environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both financial data structures and business rules, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.
Key Responsibilities: Business Logic Validation: Verify that all business rules, calculations, and data transformations are correctly applied in the Snowflake environment.
Ensure consistency between Oracle and Snowflake databases, including matching data formats, precision, and financial metrics.
Understanding of financial securities, including equities, bonds, and derivatives, trade life cycle Data Integrity Checks: Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies in securities data between Oracle and Snowflake.
Validate data completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
Testing & Reporting: Validate test cases to confirm the migration aligns with business logic requirements.
Develop SQL scripts to validate data correctness and transformations.
Analyze & Validate test results, including issues identified and recommendations for resolution.
Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand business logic requirements.
Work closely with IT teams to align expectations and resolve issues promptly.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of validation processes, test results, and data issues encountered during the migration.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Understanding of financial securities, including equities, bonds, and derivatives.
3+ years of experience with financial data, data migrations, or database management.
Strong knowledge of Oracle and Snowflake databases.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with query optimization.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Oracle, Snowflake, ETL tools and processes, Oracle to Snowflake Migration Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in financial markets.
Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data validation.
