We're looking for an engineer to join Spotify's Core Infrastructure team owning the Storage Infrastructure space. You will contribute to the development and optimization of the foundational infrastructure that powers the Spotify platform. This is a highly impactful role and you will be developing the systems that enable Spotify's engineering teams to deliver robust solutions quickly and efficiently to meet the demands of over a billion customers. You'll design, build and develop scalable infrastructure services and tools, and collaborate in a multi-functional team.
What You'll Do
You'll be part of an autonomous, cross-functional team that closely collaborates with developers across Spotify.
Build tools and products to effectively manage the fleet of storage solutions at Spotify and drive high impact optimization projects.
Work on a tech stack that includes backend services (Python and Java); utilities and scripts (in Python and Bash); data pipelines (in Python and SQL) and frontend that's part of Spotify's Backstage (written in TypeScript).
Own and be on-call for some of Spotify's most critical backend systems, focusing on improving the efficiency, compliance, and reliability of storage infrastructures.
Who You Are
Impact driven problem solver that doesn't hesitate to dive into unknown territories to get the job done
3+ years experience in building highly scalable and reliable services using Java or Python
3+ years experience working with cloud based environments
Might have experience with writing data pipelines or building frontend solutions
Passionate about the power of data when it comes to focusing on the right things
Equipped with a systematic problem-solving approach coupled with effective communication skills and drive.
