POSITION: Bankruptcy Analyst
LOCATION: Dallas, Texas
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Manager
COMPENSATION: Hourly: Competitive pay: Incentive eligibility between $500-$800/monthly
BENEFITS: Medical, Dental & Short-term benefits paid for employees
HOURS: Between 8AM-6PM, no evenings or weekends.
Position will have a hybrid schedule.
Ability to work from home and in the office to comply with state regulations when calling certain states.
TRAVEL: No travel
SUMMARY
The Bankruptcy Specialist is responsible for maximizing recoveries of consumer accounts included in active or discharged bankruptcies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Research and document bankruptcy case information in order to identify and pursue appropriation actions such as filing proofs of claim or facilitating objection to adverse treatment through referral to outside counsel Facilitate communication with debtor attorneys, bankruptcy trustees, or other parties via regular inbound or outbound calling Update account information into company's servicing system Recover past due payments or offer options to liquidate accounts Monitor assigned queue and follow up accordingly Process and document correspondence Preform other duties and projects as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree with minimum 3.0 GPA required or commensurate experience Previous Mortgage or Bankruptcy experience highly preferred Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and credit check to client required standards Ability to interface with debtors, debtor attorneys, court personnel, or other parties in a professional manner over the phone in order to drive resolutions Review, comprehend and document bankruptcy court documents including bankruptcy schedules, bankruptcy plans and proof of clam Follow procedural guidelines and take action based on analysis of bankruptcy case Effective communicate findings, issues and irregularities to management. Ability to work effectively in fast paced environment WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including electronic keyboard, mouse and telephone.
