As a Banquet Cook with Wedgewood Weddings, you will help create unique events that our clients and guests will cherish and remember.
Your ability to work as a team player and a culinary leader, combined with your service skills and your engaging personality will ensure that our guests have a memorable experience.
Our Banquet Cook is responsible for supporting the chef in all aspects of culinary operations including, but not limited to, purchasing, receiving, preparation, production, full event execution, sanitation, food safety, stewarding, and guest satisfaction.
Remember, we work when our clients and guests play, so weekend availability is needed.
Wedgewood Weddings Banquet Cooks:
have banquet, catering and restaurant leadership experience are safety and sanitation experts possess a thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques have willingness to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done possess skills be to efficient under pressure Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assists chef in the execution of banquets according to Banquet Event Order details and Wedgewood standards and specifications Assists in maintaining a clean kitchen by cleaning while working, following end of day cleaning procedure, and assisting with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cleaning.
Receives deliveries from approved suppliers and ensures all items are fresh, free from damage and to company standards and specifications.
Stocks all food according to food safety protocols and FIFO procedures and ensures all are labeled appropriately.
The Banquet Cook role is an hourly position.

The important extras: As is typical in the hospitality industry, this position requires regular availability to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as shifts of more than 8 hours and workweeks of more than 40 hours.
