Job Description
We are seeking team players for the position of Banquet Houseperson at Beauport Hotel!
This position is responsible for the set-up and breakdown of Event Spaces, while assisting the Housekeeping Department as needed.
Experience:
Must have at least one (1) or more years of experience in a similar role, with experience in Banquets highly preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Set-up and breakdown of function rooms, per specific requests and direction from the Event Management Team, as set forth on the Floor Plan.
Organize, review and prioritize the daily checklist of tasks, to be completed per room, per day.
Setting up events may include: moving/shifting tables and chairs, placing table cloths and place settings, hooking up projectors, speakers or other media-based equipment used for the space.
Maintain established cleaning schedule of all areas of the property.
Return all tables, chairs, furniture, etc.
to their appropriate storage areas and ensure they are stored in a neat and orderly fashion Work with maximum efficiency and guarantee maximum production of jobs assigned by the Management team.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment, with safety being top priority.
Complete all other duties as assigned by Management.

Experience and Skills JOB REQUIREMENTS Position requires physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
Ability to climb and carry ladders.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Ability to stand for at least 8 hours at a time.
Practice and observe all safety procedures.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT Hotel property with 94 Guest Rooms.
Work will primarily take place in all interior and exterior parts of the hotel; to include all Event and storage spaces.
