The resort was named the "Jewel of the Desert" since its opening on February 23, 1929.

Overview
As a Banquet Steward, you would be responsible for collecting all serviceware and allocating in accordance with banquet event order (BEO) to supply the function and removal of all serviceware following the event to ensure proper clean up.
Specifically, this includes but is not limited to, the following duties:
Anticipate equipment needs from event order and count out same.
Set up equipment stations in designated areas so service staff can carry out their functions.
Establish bus stations in service corridor for efficient operation Transport soiled ware to wash area and return empty Queen Mary trucks to bus area.
This is a full-time position and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications At least one (1) year of prior work experience Food Handlers Card Prior experience in a high-volume, fast paced operation, preferred Prior luxury resort experience, preferred Ability to read and speak basic English language so as fully comprehend job requests, caution notices, event orders and similar written material.
Ability to count serviceware during Big Four inventory.
Ability to perform duties in extreme temperature ranges.
Ability to read and understand BEO`s in order to perform essential functions of the job.
Sense of urgency Takes initiative Ability to work with and without supervision.
