Description: Prepare bar and keep it well stocked with: ice, liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, condiments, candles, napkins, straws, service plates, glassware and utensilsProtect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policiesFollow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guestsCheck customers' identification and confirm they meet legal drinking agePrepare and sell alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patronsCreate a positive guest experience by guiding guests through the menu, recommending spirits, beers, cocktails, and aperitifs; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions.Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and is able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparationUse Micros quickly and in proper sequence, receiving and executing bar orders, sending food orders to kitchen; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.Keep kitchen staff informed with timing of meal progression.Maintain bar setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; replenishing beverages; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.Ensure consistently clean glasses, silverware, table setups and working areasDeliver an amazing guest experience through the best combination of food, wine and bar serviceParticipate in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand.Follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control, while maximizing the guest experienceEnsure all financial transactions are accurate by operating credit card machines correctly, calculating and returning appropriate changeMust demonstrate ability to operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account of all monies at the end of each shift Skills and Qualifications: General Math Skills, Verbal Communication, Customer Service, Resolving Conflict, Teamwork, Persistence, Energy Level, Selling to Customer Needs, Thoroughness, Professionalism, Client Relationship
