A Party Host is responsible for organizing, leading, and overseeing birthday parties or special events at a YMCA facility.
The role focuses on ensuring a fun, safe, and memorable experience for all attendees, especially children, while adhering to YMCA policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Communicating with the parents or guardians to understand their expectations and specific requirements for the party Planning and coordinating party activities and games that are age-appropriate and enjoyable for all attendees Setting up the party area before guests arrive and cleaning up afterwards Ensuring the safety and well-being of all-party guests Leading birthday festivities such as singing Happy Birthday, cake cutting, and gift opening Serving food and beverages to guests Managing any issues or problems that arise during the party Maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the event Keeping track of time to ensure the party follows the planned schedule Ensuring all party supplies are stocked and available as needed QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum age: 16 Basic skills in working with small children.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and YMCA staff.
Exhibit maturity and show general concern for the well-being of children.
Present self as a good role model.
