WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST AT BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST

As a Behavior Specialist at Alternative Services - Oregon, Inc., you will be responsible for providing direct support to individuals with behavioral challenges.
Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting functional behavior analyses, developing behavior support plans, implementing interventions, and monitoring progress.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST JOB

To excel in the role of a Behavior Specialist at Alternative Services - Oregon, Inc., you will need a diverse range of skills and qualifications.
These include a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or a related field, along with a minimum of one year of experience working with mental health and behavioral challenges.
As a clinical team leader, experience working with adults and/or children with intellectual and developmental disabilities is essential.


You should possess knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports and be familiar with Oregon's ISP process.
Proficiency in writing RIT's, PCI's, FBA's, BSS/MHS's, and ISP Agenda's is required, along with the ability to provide staff training and OIS training.
Strong leadership skills, organizational abilities, and dedication to program implementation are crucial.


Effective communication is essential for collaborating with the clinical team, families, home and work DSPs, and other members of the ISP team.
Additionally, experience working with Word Processing and a strong commitment to providing advocacy and quality supports are necessary for success in this role.
