Description Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora Department: IP Behavioral Unit FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Under supervision of registered nurse, performs services to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients with behavioral health needs in the inpatient, emergency department or ambulatory setting by performing services involving milieu management. Responsibilities: In collaboration with care team, provide safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Continually monitors and documents patient's coping mechanisms and provide crisis intervention when necessary. Provides input and recommendations to the clinical team to help develop the plan of care and assists in carrying out the plan of care for assigned clients. Report any changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to care team. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: High School diploma or GED, or in lieu of HS/GED, satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test is required. 1 year of related Behavioral Health experience required. Advanced CPI within 30 days upon hire and then yearly recertification to meet the BHA rules and regulations 11.9.3D. BLS within 3 months of hire. We improve lives.
