*Banyan Treatment Centers, *a leader in addiction treatment, is seeking a full-time *Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) *to join our team in *Waelder, TX.
*This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle history*.

As a *BHT*, you'll play a vital role in the daily operations of the facility and collaborate with the Treatment Team.
You will monitor patient activities, assist with patient schedules, conduct 1:1 interaction, and maintain accurate records of patient behaviors and whereabouts.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provide exceptional care and support to patients.
* Monitor and document patient behaviors to ensure safety and compliance.
* Conduct headcounts, as instructed by Management, in a timely and accurate manner.
* Promote and support patient safety consistently.
* Demonstrate the ability to deescalate situations.
* Provide emotional support to patients, referring to Clinical.
* Communicate with Nursing and Medical if medical assistance is needed.
* Assist with patient transportation, as needed.
* Conduct urine drug screenings and supervise medication self-administration.
*Requirements:*
* Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
* Must be at least 21 years of age, in compliance with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
*Preferences:*
* Work experience in the field of behavioral and/or mental health treatment.
* An associate's degree (or higher) and/or relevant certification (CPRS).
*Abilities and Skills:*
* Adherence to Healthcare Code of Ethics and familiarity with Joint Commission standards.
* Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
* Ability to assess potential risks and report critical changes to clinical staff.
* Accurately maintain detailed records of patient interactions, progress, and incidents.
* Strong attention to detail in monitoring and documenting client behaviors to support patient safety.
* Maintain clear professional boundaries with patients while fostering a supportive environment.
* Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and assist in physical tasks such as client transportation or room checks.
* Basic understanding of addiction, recovery, co-occurring mental health disorders, and common treatment methodologies.
* Demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of patients and the facility.
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their families, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
