We are looking for a full-time Benefits Team Lead to join our HR & Benefits department. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization's benefit programs, including health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, workers' compensation, unemployment, system interfaces and updates, as well as policy and procedure revisions. \n Job repsonsibilities:Provides organizational support for workers' compensation claims, tracks incident reporting, responsible for claims administration and reportingOversees the Leave of Absence program; coordinates short-term/long-term disability claims as well as paid leave programs offered through state and/or local government programs; manages and tracks FMLAAnswers questions and resolves problems related to claims processing, provider network problems, benefit programs and coverage, as well as eligibility and qualifying life eventsCommunicates with employees, carriers, insurance broker, administration, payroll, IT, etc. to resolve problemsProcesses enrollments and changes, provides support to employees with all enrollment requestsLeads new hire benefit and open enrollment orientations; provides support to new hires with enrollment and changes.Works with IT department on rate change updates and system administration issuesDistributes required noticesConducts routine compliance audits using Tom James and vendor reporting data; performs routine integrity checks.Provides oversight and coverage for benefit team membersAssists in planning/implementing company initiatives related to wellness and wellness activitiesCreates monthly benefit communications for employeesOversees vendor billing and invoicing, employee deductions/overpayment, refunds, collection of backlogged benefit premiums.Other duties as assigned. Work Experience/Education RequirementsBachelor's degree preferredPrior experience in Benefits or HR administration requiredPrior AS400 knowledge desired The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new softwareAbility to effectively work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projectsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information and employee's personal health information.Ability to work as a team and remain flexibleAbility to relate and communicate with people of all levels within the organizationExcellent written and verbal communicationHigh attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to collect, organize, and analyze dataAbility to understand and apply benefits and employment regulationsAbility to remain calm in stressful situations, even-tempered
\n$50,000 - $55,000 a year
