Best Buy Studios Asset Lead
As the Asset Lead , you will be part of the team who creates exciting video and photo marketing content for Best Buy as you lead the capability & support the producers and crew by assisting them with their prop, wardrobe, set, and gear needs throughout each production while managing and overseeing the coordinators that are supporting you and the production teams throughout the multiple asset areas. A successful candidate will bring exceptional organization, communication, speed, and the ability to strategically think through and solve ambiguity introduced within each production. This role will be onsite at our Best Buy Studio location: 6205 W. 111th Street, Bloomington. MN 55438, What you'll do Oversee the overall Asset areas: Props, Wardrobe, Sets, and Gear in partnership with Senior Operations Manager. Oversee and strategically plan team resourcing & focus in partnership with Senior Operations Manager. Support reporting through report creation & enter, track, and document asset status daily utilizing the FileMaker Pro or similar asset management system. Assist in construction of sets. Manage large warehouse space(s) in partnership with the BBY Studios Facilities team; aligned to safety standards Communication, collaboration and support, working with the producers, and production crew to ensure that all asset needs are met. Own and lead development/adherence to standard operating procedures development and maintenance for all areas of responsibility . Basic qualifications 3 years of experience working in a creative production environment or asset inventory management 1 year of direct or indirect people leadership experience Proficient in an inventory management database program ideally FMP (FileMaker Pro) Ability to lift 50+ lbs Thrives in organization and ambiguity equally; solutions oriented and proactively provides solves Physical space management experience Preferred qualifications Ability to operate a lift and comfort with heights; willing to train 3 years of experience with live Action or stills Producing or production management experience- preferred Experience handling Photo/Video lighting, grip equipment in an on-set environment or as assets.
