Bids Specialist - Construction

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Location: REMOTE
Duration: 6-months
Hours: 9AM to 5:30PM EST
JOB DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for identifying and developing new bid opportunities. Prepare and coordinate bids, quotes, proposals; and sales plan/GPO Analysis (if applicable). This position interfaces with various customers, suppliers and other members of the team to create, develop, and maintain accurate and timely bids and quotes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform product matches based off of customer usage reports.Work closely with other internal departments to prepare and submit bid paperwork and related documentation. Assist in calculating and totaling bid proposals for prospective clients as needed.Contact prospective clients to verify bid specifications or purchase requests, and follow up on bid awards.Conduct price/cost savings reports utilizing lower cost alternative products and/or contract costs.Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft ExcelBasic business mathGENERAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize workVery good attention to detail and accuracyCustomer service oriented and ability to work with and resolve complex issuesAbility to plan and arrange activitiesExcellent interpersonal communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain confidential and highly sensitive informationAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to multi-taskAbility to manage conflictCapacity to work effectively under pressureAnalytical thinkingOversee small projectsIdentify and recommend continuous improvement opportunitiesEstablish productive working relationships at multiple levels within the organizationWORK EXPERIENCE: Typically 4 or more years of related experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training. Bachelor's degree preferred.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
May work anywhere in the United States - 100% Remote
