Foundation Overview:
The Negev Foundation, a non-profit organization, supports the development of Israel's Negev desert communities by funding Agriculture research, quality-of-life, and capital projects for agricultural research, and economic, cultural, social, and educational organizations in the Negev.
The Communications and Research Specialist role is crucial in performing various duties related to the Foundation's projects in Israel's Negev desert and the Ohio-Israel Ag & CleanTech Initiative (OIACI). These duties include conducting research, preparing summary reports, and updating social media profiles.
Position Responsibilities:
Research/Reporting:
Your role involves researching topics the President and Program Director assigned using relevant and reliable resources. You will be required to analyze data and report your findings clearly and concisely, either verbally or in written format.
Social Media/Website:
As part of your duties, you will create engaging content for the company's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Additionally, you will manage the website content as directed by the President and Program Director. You will also run metric reports from social media and company websites and prepare written reports.
Podcast Coordination:
Your responsibilities will include promoting and marketing podcast episodes on social media and other platforms. You will manage the podcast website and ensure all content is current. You will also maintain podcast interviews by coordinating with the Podcast Manager to ensure that the podcast interviews and interviewees are notified of their recording sessions. You will manage cancellations and reschedule when necessary.
General Duties: You will assist Foundation staff with various duties and provide your ideas to enhance the organization's activities based on the Foundation's seasonal activities and projects. This includes being a versatile team member who can support various departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred, with a minimum of three years experience in a non-profit environment or Business Administration
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and Google applications
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation
- Proficiency in website management and website analytics
- Podcast coordination and marketing experience
- Project management skills, including the ability to coordinate with multiple parties
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Flexibility and adaptability to perform additional duties as needed
- Familiarity with the Jewish and pro-Israel non-profit sectors preferred
Salary and Benefits:
$50,000-$55,000 (based on experience)
