About the Position
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for establishing a sales development strategy to identify, qualify, and sell to new customers in a territory that includes Sacramento, Fresno, and Reno. The Sales Account Manager reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsible for cultivating relationships with and driving new business through the Pregis distributor network
Manage growth and retention of an established book of end-user business by facilitating positive, growth-oriented relationships, sales strategy development, and sales forecasting
Initiate and quote new items. Establish coordination with operations, customer service, and engineering, new product development to deliver competitive and effective quotes.
Establish legitimate sales forecasts within the assigned territory to help plan for overall sales volume and profit. Regularly analyze our market position, profitability and competitive impact.
Manage all administrative duties within the territory in a timely and accurate fashion. Act with urgency at assigned accounts, support A/R, optimize pricing and profitability, manage CRM, T&E and etc
Experience
University degree or college diploma, business, or package engineering major preferred
Minimum 3 years of outside B2B sale experience
Possess an impressive track record of prospecting new accounts and new business
Drive new business through existing distribution network, within established territory
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities
Highly effective negotiation and communication skills
Capacity to prepare and present compelling sales materials
Results oriented, highly motivated to perform with minimal direct management
High degree of personal and professional ethical standards
Excellent communication skills – written and oral
Organized, effective time management skills
Working knowledge of Pregis products, applications and manufacturing capabilities
Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic machine repairs
Occasional heavy lifting required
Travel requirements (up to 25%)
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis's total compensation package. Compensation also includes a competitive benefits package and may also include bonuses, and other on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is estimated to be $70-$90K.
