Lume is on a mission to normalize body odor beyond the pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they never have to think twice about odor! Our Whole Body Deodorants can be used for any unwanted odor—from pits, to privates and beyond. It's doctor-developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and clinically proven to control any external B.O. for 72 hours. In 2023, we launched a men's line called Mando. Mando uses the same technology as Lume but has different scent profiles.
We are a 6-year-old fast growing, omni-channel deodorant and personal care brand that's transforming the way that humans do hygiene. We joined forces with Harry's, another disruptive brand with great people and infrastructure, to accelerate our growth. We are a team of self-starters that roll up our sleeves and get it done. Our style is collaborative and very fast-paced so an adaptive personality is a must.
Lume Deodorant's highly skilled and experienced Prepress Technician plays a pivotal role within the Creative team. As a key member of the Print Team, they serve as a crucial part in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our packaging materials and in-store marketing displays. This team member is essential in ensuring the successful release of final artwork for in-store marketing displays and packaging artwork for both the Lume and Mando brands. They are responsible for creating print-ready files, approving proofs, troubleshooting printing issues, and assisting in ensuring color fidelity to maintain brand consistency. Additionally, they facilitate efficient collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Print Production
Collaborate with the designers to develop and finalize packaging and in-store marketing displays.
Perform prepress preparation of digital files for printing, ensuring they meet the required specifications from suppliers for quality and accuracy.
Develop and release final print-ready artwork for in-store marketing displays and packaging artwork, adhering to brand guidelines and standards.
Ensure that packaging designs meet all regulatory and brand guidelines.
Proof digital and physical artwork from suppliers for accuracy and consistency.
Conduct thorough quality checks on printed materials to identify and resolve any issues or inconsistencies.
Work closely with printers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any prepress or printing issues.
Expertly work in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for precise design execution.
Organize and maintain digital files, ensuring they are properly archived and easily accessible for future use.
Implement and maintain best practices for file naming, version control, and storage.
Assist to implement effective color management techniques to ensure consistency across various print processes and substrates.
Review color drawdowns from suppliers to ensure alignment with brand specifications.
Increase understanding of inks used in printing artwork, including Pantone, CMYK, and Hexachrome systems.
Troubleshoot color-related issues to meet or exceed brand expectations.
Conduct press and assembly checks on location when necessary to guarantee the highest quality output and adherence to brand guidelines and design standards.
Communication
Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Creative team as well as Retail Marketing, Supply Chain, and the Product team within Operations.
Communicate in a timely manner via email, instant messaging, and video calls for efficient team collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Requested Travel
Travel twice a year for company retreats (1 week/ea) to engage in team-building activities and strategic planning.
When needed, travel to suppliers to oversee press checks and assembly checks.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
Proven experience (10 years) as a Prepress Technician, preferably in the personal care or consumer goods industry.
Proficient in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite), with advanced expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Strong understanding of print production processes and techniques, including lithography, offset, and flexography printing.
Comprehensive knowledge of color management principles for maintaining consistency in print outputs.
Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality control.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
This role can be done remotely, however there may be location constraints based on where Harry's is registered and able to employ individuals. That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of

and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is

$85,000-$95,000

, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate's location, skill level and experience.
