Financial Clearance Specialist – Melville NY

LHH is hiring a Financial Clearance candidate for our client in Melville NY. Qualified candidates should have prior experience communicating with payers regarding patient insurance and eligibility. This is a fully onsite position hiring immediately!

Summary:

Hiring method: Direct-Hire / Permanent

100% onsite

Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM / Standard Business Hours

Responsibilities include,

Being first point of contact to verify coverage

Mainly calling payers, not communicating much with patients

Verifying how many visits are covered, what type of services are covered, etc.

Verifying they are covered within patients' network

Initial call to evaluate first time visit with provider

Qualified candidates will meet these minimum requirements:

1 year or more of experience in Financial Clearance/Coordination

Strong knowledge of patient eligibility, insurance verification

Strong knowledge of both government and private payers

Prior EMR experience, insurance validation software usage

Excellent communication skills
