Position Benefits Manager
Schedule-M-Fri 830AM-430PM
Pay Rate- 25-30/hr.
Duration-several months, possible longer, medical leave coverage

What will you be doing?
Manage the design, modification, development and implementation of all benefit plans and programs.
Ensure all are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
Work with Broker to ensure health and welfare package is competitive and priced appropriately.
Oversee retirement plan changes by both employee and organization.
Monitor 403b account for accuracy. Participate in 5500 filing as required.
Monitor and process HRA, HSA and FSA accounts for accuracy and compliance.
Act as liaison for the EAP plan, including monitoring use and suggesting any relevant changes.
Compose correspondence, reports, special projects, and related material, as related to benefit plans and programs.
Administer health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations.
Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
Participate in New Hire Orientation to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
Counsel employees on plan provisions so that they can make informed benefit decisions. This includes all levels of employees, including executives.
Manage annual open enrollment process each year. Includes meeting with carriers and brokers to discuss offerings.
Arranges. for distribution of materials from carriers and assists with communicating changes to employees.
Process any plan changes within deadlines.
Process monthly billings from insurance providers. Reviews. billings for accuracy.
Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll and employees.
Act as liaison with various insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives.
Act as a resource for payroll/HR contacts to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefit and HR policies and regulations.
Keep upper management advised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.
Maintain Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from the database as needed as related to benefits.
Participate in special projects, as required.
Education Required:
A minimum of three (3) years Human Resources/Benefits management experience required
Two years (2) of supervisory experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree required
Knowledge of principles and procedures for benefit administration and HRIS systems
