Primary Function : The District Technology Specialist will oversee technology functions for the district in coordination with the Director of Operational Technology and Cybersecurity, providing training, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for district technology, to building staff, and technology specialist.
Qualifications - Education & Experience Minimum associate degree in Information Technology or relevant experience required.
Highly motivated person experienced in Windows, MacOS, iOS, Chrome OS, environment.
Effective organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of computers, computer components, computer peripherals and operating systems.
Knowledge of data networks.
Knowledge of software package creation and deployment.
Skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software for everyday activities.
Skills in problem solving.
Skills in prioritizing and managing a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Skills in learning new technologies, processes, and procedures and adapting rapidly to change.
Skills in communicating both verbally and in writing.
Physical ability to bend and lift heavy equipment or boxes.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshoots and solves computer hardware and software problems.
Assists district staff in the use of technology.
Prepare and provide professional development for staff/technicians as needed for new products and services.

Assists Systems Administrator as needed.
Participates in appropriate professional development activities.
Workstation imaging and deployment.
Provide on-site and remote level 2 support to the building Technology Specialists.
Responsible for monitoring tickets to make sure the department is efficiently reacting to support requests.
Network Problem Solving - Diagnoses and remedies network problems as they relate to computer and printer operation.
Software Installation - Installs software utilizing various MDM solutions (SCCM, JAMF, etc.) and documents legal licensing agreements.
Software Installation - Purchases apps for iOS and Mac devices and push out to appropriate district devices/users.
Utilize Google Admin to manage Chromebooks and student user accounts.
Oversee district technology inventory system, IncidentIQ.
Act as primary administrator for GoGuardian, including monitoring filters, developing training, and assisting in the integration of the program.
Monitor Chromebook insurance payments through eFunds.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Support the OCS vision and mission.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operational Technology and Cybersecurity.

Salary : starting at $49,201; commensurate with education and experience.
