The Americas Division ("AD") was established in the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, New York Branch) ("SMTBNY") to perform corporate functions and supervise U.S. entities.
Established under the AD are the "Global Banking Unit ("GBU"), Americas Division" and "Global Market Unit ("GMU"), Americas Division" which performs business functions.
The Administration Department ("ADM") provides resources and various support services that facilitate the Branch's flow of business in a cost-efficient way.
ADM manages communication with Head Office and Branch departments on various issues, including the management of the disaster recovery process.
Your Role Overview:
Follow established guidelines for day-to-day, routine operational and administrative work.
Responsible for providing administrative, clerical, or technical support for the department.
This includes distributing information, data entry and processing transactions.
Focus on daily deliverables and defined outputs under direct supervision.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with various Accounts Payable tasks, including daily bank account reconciliation, transferring data from Concur to QuickBooks, payment preparation, and manual data entry to QuickBooks, Concur, and ATLAS.Creates Accounts Payable related reports to Head Office.Provides assistance to the Accounts Receivable function, including data entry to QuickBooks, Concur, and Atlas.Assists with various administrative tasks, which include creating various internal reports and applications, and other internal paperwork, as needed.
Manages document storage, including assistance for yearly review and destruction process for all departments.Provides administrative support for MRC related transactions.Assists with special projects as assigned.Translates various documents and announcements from English to Japanese.Performs other duties and responsibilities required by management. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent with 2+ years of related experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills in Japanese and English.Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint as well as other Microsoft Office products.Good understanding of information security.Good math ability and computer skills. The anticipated salary range for this role is listed above.
The specific salary offered to an employment applicant is based on the individual's qualifications, experiences, the job responsibilities, an analysis of the current compensation paid for similar roles in the local geographic area, and key distinctions of the job as compared to current jobs in the Branch.
The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
