Key Responsibilities: Ensure the facility complies with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations. Stay up-to-date with applicable safety and environmental laws, translating these into effective practices. Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and documentation to manage and mitigate workplace risks. Plan and conduct safety training, track compliance, and facilitate health and safety meetings. Lead incident reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to address safety concerns. Promote engagement in safety initiatives across all employees and lead the facility's Safety Committee. Identify and address unsafe working conditions, advising management on corrective actions. Conduct regular safety audits and facility inspections to drive continuous improvements. Maintain site safety equipment and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Required Skills and Abilities: Bilingual in English and Spanish. Knowledge of manufacturing best practices and lean methodologies. Familiarity with machinery/operations and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards. Ability to create a safety-focused work environment and motivate teams. At least 5 years of experience in a safety-related role, with a preference for experience in the printing or paper industries.
