Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reviewing and preparing Federal and multi-state tax returns for a diverse range of entities including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals, also covering bankruptcy, trusts, and estates.Handling intricate tax and accounting issues and conducting both basic and complex tax research to guide strategic tax planning.Developing lasting relationships with clients by providing top-tier consulting services and identifying new tax planning opportunities.Managing, training, and developing staff, enriching the technical competence and professional growth of team members.Maintaining effective communication with team members and clients to ensure the highest level of service and adherence to deadlines.Advising on international tax considerations, focusing on Japanese corporate and personal tax regulations and practices.Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.At least 8 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm environment.Current CPA license.Demonstrated ability to handle complex tax and accounting issues proficiently.Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications: Experience dealing with Japanese corporate entities and familiarity with Japan-U.S. tax treaties.Proven track record in managing a team and driving professional development.Entrepreneurial spirit and proven self-directed work ethic.Skills: Fluent in Japanese, with the ability to comprehend and communicate complex tax concepts.In-depth knowledge of the U.S. tax code, particularly regarding Federal and multi-state tax regulations.Advanced competency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional client service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Strong leadership skills, capable of mentoring and motivating team members.Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience (DOE).Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision.Retirement savings plan with firm contributions.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.
