Position: Healthcare Billing and Claims Analyst
Are you an experienced healthcare billing and claims professional seeking a rewarding opportunity? Our Central Business Office is searching for a detail-oriented individual to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate billing and collections for multiple facilities across various payors, while providing exceptional support to our staff and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately perform billing and collections for multiple facilities across all payors.
Provide professional support and technical assistance to staff, addressing inquiries from insurance carriers, family members, and patients regarding account balances.
Serve as an administrator for payor website/log-in access.
Collaborate with Utilization departments to ensure pre-certifications, certifications, and appeals are processed accurately and promptly.
Assign tasks to staff using billing software as required.
Develop, implement, and evaluate quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with standards, laws, regulations, and procedures.
Participate in weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) calls and assist with the month-end close process.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
Experience:
Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and Institutional (UB04) Billing Requirements.
Minimum three to five years of computerized medical billing experience, including at least one year in behavioral healthcare, and three to five years of supervision/management experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Experience:
2-3 years of DMH (Department of Mental Health Adult Services) Billing.
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Ability to travel to corporate offices in Louisville, KY for 1-2 weeks of training.
Location: Hybrid role based in Western Massachusetts.
