Billing & Collections Director - San Francisco, CA

Role: The Billing & Collections Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's billing and collections processes.
This includes managing billing staff, preparing and reviewing client invoices, working with attorneys to ensure accurate and timely billing, and following up with clients on outstanding invoices.
You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure timely collections, and for monitoring the firm's accounts receivable and cash flow.
Responsibilities: Supervise billing staff and ensure accurate and timely processing of client invoicesReview client billing data for accuracy and compliance with firm policiesWork with attorneys to resolve billing discrepancies and issuesDevelop and implement billing and collections policies and proceduresMonitor accounts receivable and cash flow to ensure timely collectionsFollow up with clients on outstanding invoices and coordinate payment arrangementsProvide regular reports and updates on billing and collections performance to firm managementQualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related fieldPrevious experience in billing and collections, preferably in a law firm or professional services environmentStrong organizational and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyKnowledge of legal industry billing practices and regulationsFamiliarity with accounting principles and financial reportingCompensation: $200-275k+ depending on experience
