Roetzel & Andress LPA, a multi-state law firm with an administrative center in Fairlawn, Ohio, has an immediate opening for a full-time Billing Specialist to support the Finance Department. The Billing Specialist will work with attorneys and legal assistants in processing client billings. Candidate must be able to adapt quickly to requirements of new e-billing sites.  Candidate must maintain a high level of confidentiality and perform duties in a timely and accurate manner. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Generation of electronic ProformasEditing and completion of monthly ProformasPreparation of invoices including; fixed fee billing, split billing, joint billing, replenish retainersWork closely with attorneys and staff to assist with the resolution of billing issues/situationsProcess and submit electronic invoices via electronic invoicing sites, follow-up, appeal and resolve outstanding itemsHandle client calls to address issues or questions as necessaryTrack and follow up on invoice distributionLearn new software applications, processes and assist with developing procedures and policiesGeneration of month end reports for distribution (as needed)Assist with other accounting tasks (as needed)Key Billing Skills and Competencies:Organizing and prioritizingAttention to detail and accuracyConfidentialitySound judgmentExcellent communication skillsEnd user relationship skillsInformation management skillsProblem analysis and problem-solving skillsComfortable working in a team environmentProfessional integrityAbility to meet tight deadlines in challenging situationsEducation and Experience: Knowledge of billing and e-billing processesKnowledge of relevant accounting software (Elite / 3E)Paperless Proforma, Ebilling Hub experienceAccomplished Microsoft Office, (specifically Excel) userARCS and Crystal Reports experience is preferredProficient in data entry and management2+ years of professional (Legal, Accounting or Architectural) billing experienceHigh School Diploma or GED The candidate must also pass a credit and background check as a condition for employment.
