Job Summary Quilted Health is seeking a talented Billing Specialist to join our growing organization. In this role, you will work closely with the billing operations and clinical teams to coordinate and facilitate OB and Network billing activities by following accounts through the revenue cycle to ensure timely and accurate billing and payment of claims. You will work collaboratively with all service lines and will report to the Manager of Revenue Cycle.

\n Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssume the responsibility of researching, posting and balancing incoming payments from submitted claims. Manage the A/R and balances of internal and Network clients.Identify and resolve errors and inconsistencies on balance sheets.Manage end of the month reconciliation.Update client demographic and insurance information in order to process claims accurately.Assist billing team and clinic staff in creation and management of prior authorizations.Maintain contact with insurance companies regarding claims and denials.Resolve claim issues by applying knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT codes and adjudication of claims in order to maximize payments.Maintain strictest confidentiality, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.Performs diverse job-related duties across service lines as requested. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThorough understanding of the revenue cycle process.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Superior knowledge and familiarity with EOB's, EFTs, ACHs, payment posting and adjudication. Strong working knowledge of insurance portals such as Availity, InstaMed, and commercial sites. Strong working knowledge of provider data resource sites, ie: CAQH, ProviderSourceFamiliarity with insurance credentialing, enrollment and contracting.Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to perform high-level multi-tasking.Must have exceptional customer service skills, Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay attention to the small details are crucial skills.Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes Required QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED.Minimum of three (3) years' experience of medical billing.Able to work independently and handle diverse tasks.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent professional communication skills (verbal and written)Strong customer service orientation, positive attitude, and clearly demonstrated teamwork approach and behavior.Ability to work on various billing applications systems (Athen Health and EPIC preferred), EHRs and a willingness to learn.Proficiency with technology systems including Google Docs, Apple and Mac office products. Ability to handle confidential HIPAA/PHI information.Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT codes and procedure codes.Familiarity with Washington State Medicaid and commercial payer policies and procedures preferred.
