Our collaborative efforts extend beyond COVID-19 variant detection, encompassing the comprehensive detection and sequencing of 30 different pathogens that could potentially be introduced into the U.S. by international travelers.
In the capacity of a Bio-Surveillance Specialist, your role will involve engaging with international travelers, urging them to voluntarily provide swabs.
This voluntary contribution significantly aids the CDC in tracking variants and understanding the presence of various pathogens.
Responsibilities: Collecting Samples: Greet passengers with a warm and welcoming demeanor, creating a positive first impression.
Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all interactions with the traveling public.
Collect samples of flight wastewater to identify and analyze pathogens Team Collaboration Collaborate with management and other staff to create a cohesive and positive work environment.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and stay informed about CDC updates.
Compliance: Adhere to all regulations and polices related to station operations.
Maintain confidentiality regarding participants' information.
Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards, including proper cleaning and sanitization.
Follow XWELL policies and procedures related to health and safety.
Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the station area.
Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the varying schedules of airport travelers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in using computer systems.
Ability to remain calm and composed in demanding environments.
Minimum 1 -2 years of customer facing experience Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service and hospitality.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
