**Position Summary:**
Birdcall is a rapidly growing, technology-enabled, hip fast casual restaurant. Birdcall offers an all-natural, healthy dining experience that focuses on contactless ordering. The General Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, including guest service, finance, inventory, safety, and human resources. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team and working in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for maintaining the standard of work from employees as well as onboarding and hiring new team members. All restaurant General Managers are hired with the understanding that they can and may move in between any of our Birdcall stores. We are a fast-growing company, opening new locations and concepts each year which provides ample opportunity for growth.
This position is exempt and reports to the Director of Operation. Compensation for this position ranges from $65000-$75000 per year.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
All duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to ensure that quality of work or service is maintained
* Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
* Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
* Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
* Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food served to guests
* Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, liquor, linens, to go materials and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies
* Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
* Present and engaged with guests and staff at all times
* Ensure positive guest service in all areas including table touches
* Investigate and respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
* Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
* Completes accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured
* Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
* Recruit and Interview new hires on business practices. Provide and facilitate ongoing supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees
* Conduct orientation, explain the Restaurants Philosophy, and oversee the training of new employees, including onboarding, i9 documentation
* Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews
* Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts
* Provide leadership and direction to a team of people regarding operational and procedural issues
* Performs other related duties as assigned

**Education and Experience:**
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent
* General Management- 1-2 years (preferred)
* Restaurant Management- Over 2 years (required)
* Knowledge of restaurant software: scheduling, inventory, POS
* Extensive Microsoft Office knowledge and proficiency
* ServSafe Manager Certification (required)
* TIPs (Training Intervention Procedures) Alcohol Certification (preferred)

* Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed
* Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion
* Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operate phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment
* Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and in person

* Working with toxic or caustic chemicals or agents
* Working in a loud environment
