About the Role The Company is seeking a Board Treasurer to join its team.
The Treasurer will be responsible for monitoring the organization's financial health, assisting in the development of the operating budget, and ensuring compliance with financial deadlines and responsibilities.
This role involves establishing and distributing financial policies, developing financial goals, and aligning them with the organization's mission.
The Treasurer will also be involved in risk management, securing financial resources and partnerships, and safeguarding the organization's assets and sensitive information.
Active participation as an advocate and ambassador for the organization is essential, as is the ability to assist with strategic planning.
Applicants for the Board Treasurer position at the company should have a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and management, as well as knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in Quickbooks and donor management software is required, and professional experience in financial oversight is a must.
A commitment to anti-racism, decolonization, and the values of the organization is also necessary.
Experience with fundraising is a plus.
The ideal candidate will be able to leverage their connections and resources to support the organization's mission and will serve on the Executive Committee and as Chair of the Finance Committee.
