JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, perform bookkeeping and maintain district campus records.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting
1.
Maintain complete and systematic records of assigned campus financial transactions.
2.
Prepare and process campus purchase orders.
3.
Work with campus officials to ensure completeness and accuracy of invoices and shipments.
4.
Detect and resolve problems with incorrect orders, invoices, and shipments for the campus.
5.
Examine all campus general ledger transactions for accuracy; make corrections as needed and inform supervisor of problems.
6.
Compute and record cash receipt summaries.
7.
Assist with campus budget preparation.
Records
8.
Assist with preparation of accounting related documentation for the campus.
9.
Maintain accurate physical and computerized files and records.
10.
Maintain inventory of fixed assets, equipment, and supplies.

Maintain confidentiality.
12.

13.
Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.
14.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Secondary Principal

EXPERIENCE:
One year accounting or bookkeeping experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Two years college course work in accounting-related subjects
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
Ability to analyze and evaluate accounting problems and recommend improved procedures
Knowledge of TxEIS preferred
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop complex accounting reports/spreadsheets
Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
