Company : Boy Scouts of America ( Position Title : Part-Time Development Specialist Location : Las Vegas, NV Pay: $15.00/per hour Shift Schedule: Part-Time ~ 20 hours per week Account Manager: Jenelle Berrien Position Overview: As a Part-Time Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and success of our events. Additionally, you will be involved in the grant writing process to secure funding for our initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a dynamic organization while honing your skills in event management and fundraising.

Responsibilities:
• Event Management:
o Collaborate with the events team to plan, coordinate, and execute GSAL, sporting clays tournaments, and new special events.
o Oversee logistics, including venue coordination, vendor management, and participant engagement.
o Develop and implement strategies to enhance the attendee experience and ensure the success of each event.
o Monitor and evaluate event performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Grant Writing:
o Research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
o Assist in preparing compelling grant proposals, applications, and reports.
o Collaborate with the finance and program teams to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting in grant applications.

• Communication and Collaboration:
o Effectively communicate with internal teams, external partners, and sponsors to ensure seamless event execution.
o Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:
? Proven experience in event management
? Demonstrated success in grant writing and securing funding from diverse sources.
? Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
? Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant writing software/tools
