Total Safety is looking for a Branch Manager to join their safety conscious team! The Branch Manager is responsible for the management of operations and profitability of a designated Service Center. This includes working with Management to develop annual and long-term business plans that address financial forecasting of projected revenues and capital expenditures, as well as operational issues contingent on meeting the company's mission, goals, and objectives. The Branch Manager is responsible for the P&L of his/her branch office to ensure budget targets are being met, and that assets, inventory, personnel, and services are all managed accurately and efficiently. This position ensures that all tasks are managed in accordance with the Customer's requirements and the Company's programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures compliance with all Company policies/procedures and maintains/improves good customer relations by providing quality, timely services.
Essential Duties: Ensures that all personnel adhere to the Company's primary purpose, i.e., keen focus on the problems, issues and concerns of our customers, employees, and owner and how to bring a value-added contribution to each.Ensures that all personnel adhere to the Company's operational, ethical, standards of conduct, safety, EEO, health and environmental policies and procedures.Ensure all personnel adhere to the Company's priorities, i.e., SAFETY and SERVICE QUALITY. Develops/maintains excellent customer relations to ensure the prompt resolution of customer complaints to achieve long-term customer satisfaction.Manages annual operating budget and establishes necessary controls to meet financial objectives.Maintains a preventative maintenance program to ensure the proper upkeep, optimum performance, dependability, and long-term use of all company equipment.Selects, develops, trains, motivates, counsels, and appraises direct reports.Administers the disciplinary process in a fair and equitable manner while addressing safety, attendance, conduct and performance issues.Meets on a regular basis with management personnel to maintain an informed staff and develop a participative management environment.Provide operational oversight of designated locations including financial planning, human resources, company asset management, collaboration with the sales group, and profitability of the location under his/her area of responsibility.Provide corporate management with monthly forecasting of projected revenue and expenses.Work with management to provide annual budget submittals and financial data analysis.Conduct monthly and ongoing analysis of financial data to ensure sound financial management at his/her location.Work with management to develop an annual business plan for submittal for inclusion in the company's overall business plan. Additionally, provides long-term business growth and expansion forecasting.Responsible for qualifying, hiring, placing, terminating, and supervising management staff and employees at his/her location (with management approval).Perform employee performance evaluations to be conducted on an annual or semi-annual basis.All other duties assigned.Skills and Experience:
• Five plus (5+) years of experience in management/supervisory within the petrochemical or industrial safety equipment industry, including prior experience in a management position.
• A proven track record in operations in an upstream service environment, including turnaround projects.
• Understands financial data and reporting and is capable of learning Total Safety's accounting and asset management system (Rental Man).
• Financial Accounting knowledge and experience.
• Working knowledge of company specific equipment and applications.
• Must possess excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Must possess good PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Regular travel is required.
Working Environment:
• Industrial, Petro-Chemical, office and plant.
Educational Requirements:
• B.S. degree in business and/or technical discipline or equivalent experience or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of operations and sales experience in the petrochemical or industrial safety equipment industry, including prior experience in a management position.
