The Marketing function ensures that Morgan Stanley gains the greatest value from its brand, the heart of the firm's franchise. It manages every aspect of our brand worldwide, from corporate advertising campaigns and sponsorships to umbrella marketing messages, research, product naming, graphic standards, and publication systems. Marketing also provides strategic guidance and creative support for business units and internal groups seeking to harness the power of our brand. It helps transform our intellectual capital into client relationships by planning and executing hundreds of events and conferences each year and assessing their business impact.
The firmwide Brand Marketing team is looking for a Brand Manager to support the Brand Management team across all aspects of brand strategy, standards, and brand governance. This individual will support the flawless execution of high-visibility projects for the firm, support global design, and collaborate across the larger global Firmwide Marketing team, Corporate Services, and global business units to deliver a modern, world-class brand.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Support and guide brand governance of the enterprise brand globally, ensuring that all branding, marketing and communications meet the standards of the Morgan Stanley brand.
-Play an integral role in the strategic curation, management, and distribution of brand assets, brand/design guidelines and templates across the firmwide Brand Center.
-Serve as a core brand steward, providing strategic, brand, and creative support to internal audiences and external partners across design, brand architecture, naming and messaging/positioning projects.
-Collaborate with internal audiences and external partners/vendors and agencies to provide strategic, brand, and creative direction.
-Support strategic brand initiatives, including competitive and marketing intelligence, industry benchmarking, design and platform innovation, and operational improvement.
-Partner with Internal Creative studio team and external creative agencies to create firmwide branded assets and campaigns.
-Communicate and educate brand ambassadors and brand partners on regular changes to the brand identity program.
-Bachelor's Degree required with 4+ years of relevant experience in brand and/or strategic marketing
-Branding, advertising, digital, design, media and/or financial services experience a plus
-High emotional intelligenceable to communicate effectively and responsively to navigate, govern and influence
-Self-motivated and able to exercise independent judgment and discretion to bring solutions
-Experience working with and guiding creative agency and / or creative studio teams
-Strong project management and organizational skills within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
-Possess strong creative instincts and a keen interest in brand and cultural trends required
-Excellent writing and presentation skills with a penchant for the details
-Ability to think analytically and creatively with a solutions-oriented mindset
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on PowerPoint and experience with Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $75,000 and $130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
