Summary – This dynamic Brand Manager position will be a key leader driving the short and long-term health and success of the Blount brand portfolio. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing and head of the team, this position is responsible for the strategic growth plans that deliver on revenue and profitability goals. Meeting these goals will be driven by a candidate that has the ability to lead planning, innovation and full cycle management of our media plans and ad support and the opportunity to develop and manage launching new items, categories and brands from ideation to sell-in and beyond. The person in this position will guide the team in the development of products, portfolio management and marketing program development that acquire new segments and consumers, ensure strong relationships with our key retailers, and achieve business revenue and growth goals. This Brand Manager role will also be evaluated on incremental sales, increased household penetration, increased market share, and increased buyer rates. Enthusiastic and strong leadership, ownership and communication skills, both written and verbal, will be required to keep other functional areas apprised of and engaged in team initiatives along with playing a key role in building an inspirational and modern team marketing culture. Essential Duties : Marketing Plan Development & Execution Lead development and execution of marketing, promotional and advertising plans and activity that efficiently translate to product awareness, purchase consideration, trial, and retentionLead the development of marketing plans in partnership with other Brand Managers and marketing stakeholders that support the key business and brand initiatives, new product launches and seasonal activationsLead and manage measurement of media and advertising results, KPI's, ROI, lift and other measures as appropriate to ultimately improve budget allocations and hold vendor partners accountable Work in tandem with the creative and brand marketing team members to develop best in class content, assets and strategies to build strong brands, awareness and successful campaignsSupport the Customer Marketing team with the alignment, strategy, development and evaluation of shopper marketing plans and to improve our overall retail relationships and exercise our role as category leader to achieve our business goalsEnsure alignment of marketing strategy and execution across 4P's: product, price, placement, and promotion Category Strategy & Product Portfolio Management Conduct primary consumer research and leverage a variety of secondary information sources to maintain a deep understanding of category dynamics including trends, insights, shopper behaviors and retailer strategies and competitive activityAnalyze product performance, consumer feedback, research, and market trends to make informed decisions about product positioning, messaging, pricing, packaging, recipe renovations, SKU prioritization/optimization and new item introductionsConduct periodic business reviews, market assessments and ROI/performance analysis to recommend actions to improve business performance and deepen our understanding and knowledge of the consumer and competitors in the category Product Development Assist in cross-functional partnerships to drive product development projects with R&D, Operations, Quality, Sales, and Finance departments to ensure brand's strategic and financial objectives are metServe as consumer and category subject matter expert to the innovation teams to develop long term product pipelines (e.g., innovation, renovation, price/pack architecture) Research and develop concepts with both internal and external partners translating insights and ideas into marketing strategy, brand plans and communication platformsResearch, analyze and recommend new items, categories and pack architectures based on marketplace needs, conditions and consumers jobs that need to be done Education & Development: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university is required (MBA preferred) and 5-7+ years of related experience in marketing. The candidate should have no less than 3 years of experience in a brand or media management role in the CPG industry. It also favorable the candidate has proven success in multiple categories and varied brand portfolios and or food brands/categories.
