Responsibilities
• Provide high quality service to guests in the breakfast area• Understand hotel brand standards and guest expectations• Maintain regular attendance and comply with hotel standards and regulations• Service guests with food and beverage requirements• Greet and seat guests, ensure quality control of menus• Clear, clean, and reset tables and hotel spaces• Accommodate special requests and communicate with all departments• Support all areas of beverage and food service• Answer telephone, have knowledge of room service and menus• Perform cashiering functions and closing procedures• Answer questions about the hotel and local area• Perform any other duties or attend meetings as requested by management
Requirements
• Ability to perform job function with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred• Willingness and ability to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays• Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and pass responsible serving course• Obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required• Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm professional manner• Understanding of hotel products and guest services• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and provide support to others• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
