Position Overview:

As a Restaurant Server, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to guests' needs in a courteous and efficient manner.

Essential Job Functions:

Greeting Guests: Welcome guests to the restaurant in a friendly and welcoming manner, and escort them to their tables.
Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu offerings, including food and beverage options, specials, and promotions, and be able to provide recommendations to guests as needed.
Order Taking: Take food and beverage orders from guests accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff.
Serving: Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
Upselling: Utilize suggestive selling techniques to promote additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Table Maintenance: Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned tables and dining areas throughout the meal service.
Guest Interaction: Engage with guests in a courteous and attentive manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have and ensuring their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
Billing and Payment: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and handle cash and credit card transactions following established procedures.
Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other restaurant team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.

Qualifications:

Previous Experience: Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Customer Focus: Passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking, serving, and handling transactions.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
