About the opportunity: Under indirect supervision, provide and manage clinical and surgical services to treat patients at Vail Health's facilities in the specialty of breasts.
What you will do: Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, surgical procedures and treatment for a specified patient population. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions. Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate. May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function. Supervises and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required. Provides administrative duties as appropriate. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Must be HIPAA compliant. Perform other duties as assigned. Board Certification in Breast Surgery Registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Medicare and Medicaid certification Medical Staff Membership and clinical privileges obtained and maintained. Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) Computer / Typing: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment.
