Then the infrastructure team is for you!As aSenior Bridge Engineerin our growing USA Infrastructure business unit, you will be responsible for various technical leadership duties related to structural engineering of transportation bridges and structures.The successful candidate will be able to work closely with project teams through the completion of various projects and task assignments in the role of Lead Structural Engineer. In this role you will perform and/or check structural analyses and develop or check design calculations using AASHTO and other design codes for various bridges and structural systems on linear transportation projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will have good knowledge of bridge load rating practices, bridge field inspection and reporting practices in the field of asset maintenance. This position can be based out of Hatch's Seattle, WA; Houston, TX; Brooklyn, NY or Los Angeles, CA offices.Responsibilities:Lead and assist in the development of bridge design deliverables including concept reports, design calculations, construction plans, specifications, estimates, and construction schedulesManage technical tasks and as required, lead projects to ensure project execution for on-time, on-budget deliverables of quality that meet, or exceed the industry's standard of careDevelop structural details and construction plans using MicroStation or AutoCAD;Analyze and evaluate appropriate design solutions and design of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and foundationsChecking of engineering calculations, drawings, estimates, specifications, and construction schedule deliverables for accuracy and compliance with contractual requirementsProvide bridge design leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-career engineersManage, perform, and deliver condition inspection and reporting of in-service bridgesManage, development, and check load rating calculations and reportsParticipate in client and project development teamsLiaise with relevant agency /regulatory approval processes as pertaining to bridge engineeringAssist pursuit managers and project managers in the development of proposal documentsCommunicate with client's and express the client's needs to project teamSet the standard for quality within the Bridges teamEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering15+ years of bridge engineering experienceRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) is requiredDemonstrated experience working in a consulting engineering firmExperience in planning, preliminary design and detailed design of new bridges and rehabilitation of existing bridge; steel and concrete structures, bridge assessment, bridge load evaluation and culvert sizing;Experience working with both government and private sector clients, including detailed design for contractor clientsProficient in current bridge and structural design software applications such as CSi Bridge/SAP 2000, RetainPro, LEAP, PGSuper/PGSplice, LPile/Group as well as AutoCAD and or MicroStationProficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point and other general calculation software applicationsHighly knowledgeable in AASHTO LRFD bridge design standardsKnowledge of codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC and OSHA codesStrong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment are essentialDesirable QualificationsPost-graduate Qualifications in Structural EngineeringRegistered Structural Engineer (SE)Multi-state Professional Engineer registration.Salary: $125,000 - 185,000Why join us?Work with great people to make a differenceCollaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutionsTop employer What we offer you?Flexible work environmentLong term career developmentThink globally, work locallyDon't meet every single requirement?
