A Commissioning Engineer plays a critical role in the installation, testing, and setting up of systems to ensure that they function according to the provided specifications and standards. This position is vital in guaranteeing that all aspects of the infrastructure and system setup comply with both safety and functionality protocols before they are fully operational.
Commissioning Engineers and Technicians are primarily responsible for overseeing the installation of new equipment and systems, conducting tests to ensure operational efficacy, and resolving any issues that arise during the setup processes. Their role is pivotal in validating the integrity and performance of critical systems before they are handed over for everyday use.
Key responsibilities include:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to join our talented team. As a pivotal part of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the final phases of construction projects, ensuring that everything is operating effectively and in accordance with all specifications, codes, and regulations.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to understand project requirements.
2. Develop and implement commissioning plans for all stages of the project.
3. Conduct and manage system tests to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards.
4. Document all commissioning activities and provide detailed reports.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the commissioning phase.
6. Verify system performance and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
7. Provide training and support to the maintenance teams on newly installed systems.
8. Ensure all operational documentation is transferred to the project's maintenance team.

Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
2. Proven experience in commissioning within the construction industry.
3. Strong understanding of building systems and construction management processes.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
8. Relevant certifications in Commissioning are highly desirable.



Position Requirements: Must be comfortable with and able to perform work on equipment accessed by ladder on building roofs, underground, and in cramped spaces. Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite). Knowledge of site safety procedures, including electrical safety. Qualifications: Over 2-4 years of direct or related experience with complex HVAC, lighting, power and control systems, including an ability to evaluate and troubleshoot, and perform measurements on same.
