Responsibilities
• Safely transports students to and from school sites and on field trips• Maintains order and discipline of passengers• Conducts safety and operational inspections of assigned vehicle• Oversees loading and unloading of students• Maintains records and reports, including mileage, routing, and time schedules• Notifies appropriate individuals of any delays in scheduled route• Keeps credentials updated according to DOT and IDEA policy• Communicates with campus managers• Accepts feedback and self-reflects on performance• Manages multiple tasks and adapts to changing circumstances
Requirements
• GED or High School Diploma• Experience in operation of large passenger vehicles• Valid CDL with class P and S endorsements• Completed bus driver safety training course• 21 years old or above• Pass alcohol and drug tests• Understands and follows directions• Ability to work on evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.• Able to work a minimum of 32 hours per week• Able to work extended hours when necessary
