This role involves transporting passengers along designated routes for safe and timely arrivals and providing exceptional customer service.*The preferred candidate is an initiative-taker who has:** A strong commitment to safety, punctuality and professionalism.* A passion for customer service and excellent communication skills.* More than one year of experience operating a commercial vehicle, preferably a motor coach or school bus.* A valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with an acceptable driving history.* An unrestricted Passenger endorsement _(ability to transport 16 passengers or more)._* A valid passport or enhanced driver's license for travel to Canada _(preferred but not required)._* The ability to complete a 6-week training program that will require being away from home Monday-Friday.* The ability to work a 5-or 6-day work week, (Full-Time) with open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.* The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and DOT physical exam.* The love of driving and the willingness to travel throughout New York State and to Montreal and Toronto, Canada.*Your benefits:** *Starting rate of $26.50 per hour.** *Daily Minimum Guarantee of $212.00.** *Weekly Minimum Guarantee of $1060.00.** *Overtime rate of $39.75 per hour after 40 hours in a week.** 6-week training program paid at the rate of $22.00 an hour increasing to $33.00 after 40 hours in a week.* *Paid every Friday.** Sign-On Bonus up to $5000, referral and safe driver bonus opportunities.* Medical, vision and dental insurance with an HRA.* 401K with company match.* Paid vacation, holidays and sick time.* Annual uniform allowance.* Ongoing training and career development.If this sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for *apply today!*_Trailways of New York, founded in 1926, is the largest family-owned and operated intercity bus company in New York State.
