We are currently seeking a BAS Associate to join our Business Advisory Services (BAS) team in Atlanta, GA! As part of the Johnson Lambert team, you'll work in an environment where your entrepreneurial spirit will thrive as you build upon your technical skills, take on leadership opportunities, and collaborate with a highly motivated workforce and client group.
What's the job like?
Perform technology risk assessments and evaluate, test, and document IT general controls (IT control environment, program development, change management, logical and physical access, and operations) and business process controls (includes key reports, automated controls, interfaces testing, claims, general ledger, etc.)Assess security of client networks, hosts, and applicationsMeasure and report clients' compliance with established industry or government requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve control effectiveness and efficiencyWork with BAS team to identify and resolve client issues discovered during audit and review processSupervise, train, and mentor new associates and interns on IT audit processesPlan work in appropriate priorities and sequencesProactively communicate with appropriate management regarding work status, schedule requests, and time/budget variances, etc.Manage work time appropriately to ensure client expectations and deadlines are consistently metDevelop professional relationships with clients and demonstrate appropriate behavior at all times at client siteMaintain professional standards of the firm and client confidentialityDevelop technical skills through on-the-job experience and formal channels, such as seminars, in-house CPE training, CISA certification, etc.Participate in CPE relevant to work assignments and maintain compliance with firm CPE requirementsContribute to a positive work environment by building strong working relationships at peer, mentor, and team levelsActively participate in Career Development Program (CDP) activities, including leadership, recruiting, marketing, and professional areasWhat you'll need for success:
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, or other relevant fieldStrong aptitude for technical work assignmentsStrong project and time management skillsAbility to work additional hours and travel to client sites as dictated by client needs0-1 years of work experience in public accountingA strong track record of leadershipExperience or aptitude for using data analytics tools and techniques would be an advantageHow JL will support you and your career:
