• This position is for the Business Development Analyst and Capture Manager Staff in the S&BD line of business supporting the Space Security portfolio.


• Supports a diverse group of domestic and international business development and capture professionals.


• Develops strategy and recommends to the Director how to manage New Business Fund accounts (MA, B&P).


• Works closely and collaboratively with capture managers, program managers, communications and functional staff.


• Establishes and maintains direct customer interfaces both domestically and internationally.


• Maintains trade show, overarching stakeholder contact, and communications plans.


• Develops and maintains productive business relationships with current and potential customers, partners, suppliers, and international trade organizations.


• Assists in proposal development.


• Leads/supports assigned captures.


• Assists in development of product roadmaps to meet market needs.


• Conducts all business in strict compliance with all corporate command media and applicable state, federal, and international regulations.


• Evaluates and reviews consumer research, point-of-sale and syndicated data.
Reports findings for major marketing, distribution, and manufacturing proposals and their impact on the sales function.


• Participates in the central development and implementation of new products, re-launches, new business building programs, sales rationale, etc.
May also participate in presales or sales meetings to review proposed plans.


• Domestic and International travel is expected.


Basic Qualifications:


• Established and successful reputation with relevant customers with a proven record of strategic planning, financial analysis, capture management and teaming


• Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external senior executives


• Knowledge and experience in the federal acquisition process


• Detailed knowledge of and experience with business development and capture processes


• Ability to articulate complex issues into succinct, cohesive summaries and presentations


• Proclivity towards teaming and collaboration-must be a team player with excellent communication and presentation skills


Desired Skills:


• Ability to drive teams to meet schedule and budgets


• Knowledge of Space Control, Multi-Domain Effects and Resiliency Concepts


• Previous experience working with capture professionals, delivering or contributing to proposal development and/or program management


Security Clearance Statement:This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.


Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


Schedule for this Position:9x80 every other Friday off


Pay Rate:


The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $123,500 - $236,800.
Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.


This position is incentive plan eligible.
