Job Summary The Business Analyst will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing the data science body of knowledge and adjusting to the Department's priorities. The candidate will support the team in better understanding existing, future, and ongoing opportunities, customer insight and competition. The Business Analyst will report directly to the Director, Business Development but will be required to work with a variety of people across the Horizon team and external partners to accomplish assigned tasks. The Business Analyst is a vital contributor to leadership, business development, capture, and operational team's ability to make sound pursuit decisions regarding submission of compliant Federal Government proposals.
Duties/Responsibilities Opportunity analysis, business competition analysis, and customer analysis. Research, develop, and write opportunity information material. Utilize data and information with supporting business analytic tools to provide improvements to the pursuit decision and capture process. Interact with stakeholders (Contracting Officers, Contract Specialist, Research Tool administrators, Technical Points of Contact, Partners) to promote effective technical collaboration. Build specific products, as well as propose useful products to the team for better enterprise management. Develop/maintain research-related artifacts for each opportunity to include points of contacts, information resource, and pursuit decision briefings. Collaborate with business development, capture, and operational leadership to obtain adequate resources for accomplishing a high-quality proposal submission in a timely manner. Assist in the development and refinement of templates and standardized processes to streamline pursuit and capture development. Ensure opportunity and analysis updates assist with proposal compliance, checking regularly throughout the proposal cycle. Skills/Abilities Self-starter capable of identifying challenges, responding to issues, and proactively implementing effective solutions with limited supervision in a matrix environment. Research, analysis, and report preparation experience. Strong analytic, presentation, and problem-solving skills Ability to establish working relationships with customers, industry partners, technical personnel, managers, and peers. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with multiple deadlines and changing priorities to deliver high-quality material. Knowledge of business processes/project management; able to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously. Dynamic interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management. Excellent work ethic and excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree required. 2+ years of demonstrated experience. Compensation: $30-$35 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and relevantexperience.
