Business Data Analyst

Job Summary: As a member of the Finance team, leverage business intelligence tools and techniques to analyze, interpret, and visualize financial data, empowering Lockton to make informed, data-driven decisions that enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI.
Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and other data professionals across departments to develop reports, define business logic, and implement automated processes that streamline data workflows and improve reporting efficiency.
Build subject matter expertise in Lockton's business data, developing an in-depth understanding of how data is sourced and transformed.
Write and maintain SQL queries to extract data from relational databases.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required.
Major in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Insurance, Economics, or other related degree and/or equivalent education or work experience.
2 years of experience in a data or analytics-related role.
Experience building interactive reporting dashboards.
MS Power BI is preferred.
Able to write SQL, R, Python, or other scripting languages.
SQL is preferred.
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel.
Familiarity with relational databases, including data lineage, transformations, warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
Understanding of data integrity and correctness.
Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines.
