Business Development Executive – Multiple Locations (remote) Location: We are looking to fill multiple roles, which will be remote and based in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Northern California, Texas, or Colorado with consideration to candidate preferences.

As a Business Development Executive within our growing team, you will have the opportunity to lead and cultivate new business opportunities with government, education, and private sector clients as we leverage our customer-centric and innovative brand throughout multiple geographies (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Northern California, Texas, or Colorado). Potential responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Develop, own, and execute a sales growth plan through multiple markets across the region.Target, qualify, and secure prospects for new energy efficiency, performance contract, as-a-service, central plant and renewable business opportunities.Use a Solution Sales process methodology to drive lead generation, qualify & disqualify complex sales opportunities for consistent, robust results.Serve as direct client interface on all projects, leading customer meetings/presentations and negotiating contracts on behalf of the organization.Develop relationships with and identify the technical needs of potential partners across all organizational levels, ranging from our customer's executives to building engineering staff. Coordinate internal engineering resources to evaluate sales recommendations, managing site audits, cost-savings calculations, and return-on-investment analyses. Represent CEG and show emerging energy sector trends at industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events.Articulate the benefits of infrastructure modernization and/or energy related approaches to drive critical savings and optimization across a customer organization.Use of a disciplined sales and market development process that relies heavily on financial drivers.Working knowledge of the emerging energy market and current public sector market drivers (i.e. energy resilience, physical security, alternative financing, and cyber security) Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)Minimum 5 years of complex sales and /or business development experience in one or more of the following vertical markets: government, C&I, higher education, or healthcare.A proven ability to build an internal and external partnership ecosystem for customer acquisition to develop a robust and sustainable opportunity funnel.Consultative sales experience across a multi-state territory.Minimum 5 years of experience consistently producing multi-million dollar energy-based programs using Return-on-Investment based financial transactions related to energy conservation, sustainability, or facility optimization programs. You Possess: Proven ability to analyze and quantify energy and operational needs, use, savings, and associated structured financing project development experience;Experience leading revitalization programs that include building automation and energy management systems, facility operations and installations involving chiller and boiler plants, HVAC retrofit, conservation, distributed generation, energy efficiency, and renewable technology projects; Excellent financial planning, budgeting, and organizational resource management abilities.Proven ability to communicate effectively in professional and public settings, both verbally and in writing.Ability to travel regionally, as needed to accomplish the role.US work authorization Hybrid Work Model Most of our team operates in a remote or hybrid workplace model that optimizes a combination of virtual and in-person interactions. We are intentional when we co-locate with each other and our clients for maximum impact while empowering our people to preserve the flexibility that they desire. The nature of our work managing client transformations will require some team members to be onsite at client locations, therefore the ability to travel is expected.
Our hybrid model benefits our people, and notably the environment. By reducing travel and commuting time, this aids in the reduction of our carbon footprint.
Wages + Salary The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 annually with a very competitive, and simple to calculate, commission program. CEG Solutions LLC takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
Please note that this is a general estimate and does not incorporate any adjustments for geographic location. Typically, starting salaries are determined based on individual qualifications and experience, and may fall below the top end of the range.
In addition to your salary, you may qualify for our annual bonus program. This program is discretionary and awards, if any, are based on your performance as well as the company's overall success.
